B&R Home Improvement Ltd is the controller of the personal data collected through this website. This notice explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
When you use an enquiry form we collect your name, email address, telephone number (optional) and the project details you give us, together with the page the form was sent from and the date and time. If you email or call us instead, we hold the contact details and correspondence you send.
Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs, such as IP address and pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a scope, programme or cost plan. Lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries.
- To deliver and administer a project once we are appointed. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
- To keep the website secure and working correctly. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests.
- To meet accounting, tax and health and safety obligations. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
We do not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to, and we never sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for [retention period to be confirmed] and then deleted. Records relating to a completed project are kept for as long as we need them for contractual, warranty, insurance and tax purposes, generally at least six years after completion.
Who we share it with
Your information is seen by the people at B&R Home who need it. We also use suppliers who process data on our behalf under written terms, including our hosting and email providers. Where a project requires it, we share only relevant details with the professionals working on your property, such as a structural engineer, party wall surveyor, building control body or supplier. We may disclose information where the law requires it.

This site sets only the cookies necessary for it to function. If we introduce analytics or any non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this notice.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or erase it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Write to info@brhome.uk and we will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. [ICO registration number to be confirmed.]
